Overview
The final project of my third year in the interior architecture program, this bookstore exists as a space for narration and in an area steeped in creativity and music history.

Project Goals
The brief of this project was very open. Students were tasked to choose a type of retail and a site, then design a brick and mortar location that supported an activity related to the retail as well as the sale of goods. My approach to this assignment called on my past passion for poetry. From this, the concept of "the area between the lines" was conceived.

Details
With a new emphasis in furniture design and fabrication in other courses, I chose to bring that focus into my studio project. A collection of furniture was specifically designed for this bookstore.

Facade Design
In addition to details in furniture, the opportunity was taken to dive into the construction of the desired facade. This wall section aimed to show a basic knowledge of how this element could actually be constructed.
